Section 16.6

This section is over surface area. The formula for the surface area of a portion of the graph of a function is

\iint_D \sqrt{1+(f_x(x,y))^2+(f_y(x,y))^2} dA

Here are some recommended problems:

1-12, Challenge: 21, 22

Once you know the surface area formula, these problems boil down to computing more double integrals. So, again you should think of this as more practice.

  1. For the quiz over this section, one of the problems is not showing up. Like it just says [img] and has 4 answers to choose from but there is not a question of some sort. Is it just me or is the actual problem not showing up?
